Internal Sales

Internal sales involves working in an office based sales team, often supporting a more senior sales executive by taking incoming calls, preparing paperwork and being the point of contact for customers after a sale has been made.  A graduate job in internal sales can expose you to many aspects of sales, marketing and customer services, providing an ideal starting place for graduates who want to go on to develop a career in sales.

Field Sales

Graduates in field sales can expect to work ‘in the field’ or out of the office, and their job will often involve being responsible for sales in a certain area of the country.  A Graduate Field Sales Executive will spend their time visiting existing or potential new customers to win new business, manage relationships, up sell, or introduce new products or services. Salary is often made up from a basic salary and commission based on volume of sales or income generated so is often seen as OTE – on target earnings.

A recruitment consultant is the intermediary between organisations wishing to recruit (the client) and the individual seeking a career move or temporary assignment (the candidate). It is primarily a sales role, with high rewards for impressive results.

It is usually a work hard, play hard environment.

Management potential is usually spotted at an early stage, enabling faster progression than within many other longer established careers.
