Graduate Job sector Reports
New research has suggested that recruiters looking for the perfect applicant for their vacancy should place their job advert on a Wednesday.
The study was conducted by graduate recruitment jobsite targetjobs.co.uk and examined the jobseeking tendencies of more then 30,000 users over a six-month period.
Key behavioural pattern of jobseekers were uncovered by the research, which could be highly relevant for enterprises when they are planning their recruitment strategies.
According to the results, the most popular time to apply for a job is between 2pm and 3pm on a Monday, with Saturday being the least popular day for jobseeking.
Paul Sissons, chief executive of targetjobs.co.uk, said: "This ongoing research enables us to monitor the exact activity of jobseekers to help businesses to plan recruitment campaigns."
He added that an increasing number of graduates, along with the diminishing value of a degree, means that it is essential to "optimise" each job vacancy.
