Welsh financial firm announces graduate recruitment drive

Published: Friday, 18 June 2010   Category: Banking and Finance

A prominent independent financial advisory firm in Wales has revealed that it plans to create about 350 graduate jobs over the next five years, the Daily Post reports.

Buckles Investment Services, which is based in Rhyl, was forced to put its university leaver recruitment drive on the backburner as a result of the recession.

However, chief executive Chris Kerin confirmed that the company is now ready to resume its expansion after "standing still" for the past year.

"We have recruited 11 graduates so far this year, are in the throes of taking on another five, and will be interviewing a further five or ten in December," he told the news provider.

"Next year's planned intake to the programme will be 50 and the year after 100. The graduate programme is costing £880,000 this year and over the five-year period will come in at between £4 million and £5 million."

Earlier this week, Scottish graduates received a boost with the news that as many as 350 placements will be created with firms in the Highlands and Islands regions over the next three years.ADNFCR-1068-ID-19846799-ADNFCR
