Tuesday, 20 November 2007
Tuesday lunchtime is when the majority of people apply for jobs, according to Reed Employment.
The company's analysis showed that 21 per cent of jobseekers search for jobs at 1pm on Monday and then the same amount upload their CVs the next day at the same time.
The report also showed that November is the busiest month for people applying for jobs ahead of September and June which are the second and third most popular months for applying.
Janine Parry, head of marketing at Reed Employment said: "November is always our busiest period for placing applicants into permanent roles. Companies often find they have budget still remaining and are keen to fill their positions before next year's figures are decided, and before the Christmas lull."
The figures also warn jobseekers that salary could vary depending on when they apply for roles.
Salaries on average drop in July and September when the majority of people looking to move on in their careers and as a result recruiters are given more choice.
