Marketing roles are attractive to those looking for graduate jobs in the tourism sector, according to one expert.
Claire Steiner, director and chair of education and training at the Institute of Travel and Tourism, explained the opportunity to see new locations is part of the appeal.
"You visit the destinations and you work with the local tourist board promoting the destinations to the UK market," she said.
There is scope for both domestic and international travel for those working in the industry, Ms Steiner added.
People looking to break in to the sector will also find there are roles available on the sales side of things, she stated.
Earlier this week, Jonathan Evans, managing director of Discovery Graduates, claimed that recent reports into the state of the jobs market have been too negative.
He believes there are still plenty of graduate jobs out there.
