Leading UK recruitment firm Eden Brown has been taken over by specialist investment fund Hamilton Bradshaw Human Capital (HBHC).
The new move is seen as a major step forward in HBHC's policy of 'Buy and Build' and will see Eden Brown expand its brand and increase staffing skills and numbers. Current Eden Brown chief executive Ian Wolter will remain in his role in the recruitment firm, as well as helping to support further HBHC acquisitions.
"This is the catalyst needed to take what is already a good company and make it into a great company, unlocking the latent profit that lies within Eden Brown, accelerating our growth and offering greater opportunity to the team of hugely talented staff," said Mr Wolter.
HBHC are thought to have carefully chosen the recruitment firm for their takeover bid thanks to Eden's growing reputation within the sector and their readiness for expansion, and HBHC chief Tristan Ramus commented: "Since the shopping spree of the late 1990s, the recruitment market has continued to mature; pricing is stable and stock market performance has been robust.
"At Hamilton Bradshaw we're really looking forward to working with the Eden Brown team and moving forward."
