The best places in the UK for graduate jobs in science have been revealed.
New Scientist magazine, praises a number of locations including Bangor in Wales which excels in physical oceanography.
Speaking to the publication, David Assinder, school administrator at the city's ocean science establishment, explained some unique facilities are on offer.
"We are the only institution in the UK with its own research ship, which means the lead time from a conceived experiment to being at sea can be very short," he says.
Other areas which come in for praise are the Eden Project in Cornwall, Exeter's Met Office and the UK Energy Research Centre in Scotland.
Those looking to get out of the lab might want to consider working in the City of London, putting their maths skills to use on financially-related algorithms.
Yesterday, the Times named HSBC as one of the best places for graduate jobs.
Those wishing to apply for the firm's 2009 intake have to do so before October 31st.
