The Times newspaper has launched details of its annual graduate scheme, which offers new university-leavers a job at the London-based newspaper.
The Times' graduate scheme offers two-year contracts to one or two graduates each year, with the second year of the contract dependent on a good performance in the first.
These two new vacancies were announced on the newspaper's website, Times Online; which has recently gone behind a subscription-only paywall.
The announcement article says that the newspaper is looking for "originality, intelligence and commitment" from graduates in any subject, but are looking for evidence of good writing in school, student or commercial journalism.
Successful applicants will spend some time as a news reporter and then a few months each at other departments of The Times.
Applications are to be made in the form of a covering letter and curriculum vitae sent to the managing editor of the newspaper, along with some press-cuttings.
