Tesco launches graduate jobs
Friday, 18 September 2009
Those hoping to land a graduate job in the retail sector this year can now apply to work for supermarket giant Tesco.
However, the firm is increasing the number of graduate schemes it is offering from 15 to 17, meaning that telecoms and engineering students will be able to apply for positions.
With deadlines for the 2010/2011 season closing on December 31st this year, those looking to get onto one of Tesco's marketing, finance, product technology or merchandising graduate jobs should act now.
Lorna Bryson, head of UK resourcing for the supermarket, said: "As a company we are committed to investing in employee development and finding future talent - graduate recruitment will always remain a valued route for this."
The retail sector is currently seeing an influx of graduate job applications as university leavers turn to supermarkets in search of employments, People Management recently reported.
