Life after graduation
University-leavers seeking graduate jobs can help conserve finance this Christmas by carrying out more of their festive shopping online.
This is the claim of finance expert and TV presenter Jasmine Birtles, who suggests there are "some great bargains to be had" on the web.
Claiming that an increasing number of people are likely to convert to e-commerce in the future, she said that shopping from home was preferable to fighting your way around the shops, while the ability to conduct transactions at any time of the day was also beneficial.
Ms Birtles added: "It is also cheaper and if you use a rewards card, you get money back from your spending so long as you know you are going to pay that all off before it hits the interest period."
Lloyds TSB research, conducted by Tickbox.net/Opinion Matters, indicated that 77 per cent of consumers thought they would attempt to capitalise on deals, rewards schemes and special offers this December.
