According to the Times, the firm, which is one of the largest producers of gas and oil in the world, it expecting to recruit 300 graduates in 2009.
Positions will be on offer for range roles including process research, petrophysics, civil engineering and geology.
"Shell offers initial packages for graduates worth £30,250, including benefits, for those joining in 2009," the news provider states.
However, competition for places could be tough with the newspaper pointing out that leading industrial firms are expecting a surge in applications spurred by the global economic downturn.
Graduate jobs are on offer at Shell all year, but roles are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, the Times notes.
Recently, Jeff Goodman, director of the careers service at the University of Bristol, told the newspaper that people embarking on a career should make sure they pick one which is of interest to them.
