Sheffield graduate job fair to have record exhibitors

A graduate jobs fair in Sheffield has had the highest number of employer applications to exhibit at the event it has ever seen.

The Yorkshire Autumn Graduate Recruitment Fair, which takes place on November 3rd and 4th and will be hosted on the University of Sheffield's campus, will have 70 different employers [taking take] part each day.

In positive news for the graduate jobs market, final-year students and alumni will be able to attend the event and liaise with some of the top recruiters in the UK in the science, business, HR and IT sectors.

Michelle Dexter, manager of the fair, said: "Over 140 recruiters will be present at this event, which is the highest ever number of exhibitors and this is particularly encouraging in view of the current challenging graduate recruitment market."

Simon Dixon, managing director of financial sector training organisation Benedix, recently told the Guardian that students should make themselves stand out at graduate job fairs.
