Transport and utilities
Recent university leavers based in Scotland and looking for graduate jobs in transport and utilities may be interested to hear that the Scottish jobs market has improved for four consecutive months.
The Bank of Scotland said its Labour Market Barometer, which takes into account demand for staff, employment rates and numbers available for work and pay, is at its highest for more than two years.
Donald McRae, chief economist at Bank of Scotland, said: "It's very reassuring to see the recovery in the Scottish labour market continuing.
"Temporary employment growth has accelerated to its fastest rate since August 2007 and the number of vacancies open to applicants looking for long-term employment has risen for the fourth month in a row."
Graduates may be interested to note that tomorrow (April 20th) is the last day they can register to vote in this year's general election.
