Graduate Job sector Reports
Scotland has witnessed a rise in the number of jobs registered and placements made over the last four months, it has been confirmed.
In news which may interest recent university leavers in the country, Hays Scotland announced that both permanent and temporary recruitment have both seen sharp increases.
Even sectors which have struggled during the recession, such as HR and IT, are now seeing improved job availability as companies prepare for the expected economic upturn.
"The economy in Scotland won't recover overnight, but there are signs of renewed confidence," Akash Marwaha, operations director at Hays Scotland, told Onrec.com.
"Going forward, it is vital that businesses focus on investing in their staff."
Mr Marwaha added that companies will be able to contribute to a return to sustained growth in their respective sectors by increasing staff numbers and supporting existing employees.
Meanwhile, the Bank of Scotland's labour market barometer in its latest 'Report on Jobs' reached 54.3, which is the highest since the start of 2008 and further highlights the recovery of the jobs market in the country.
