RSK Group announces graduate programme expansion

Published: Friday, 04 March 2016   Category: All Graduate Jobs News

RSK Group has announced plans to expand its graduate programme for this year and beyond.

The company – which provides engineering and environmental consultancy as well as technical support services – is set to add to its 40 current graduate places in the UK and has committed to four new graduate placements in the Middle East too.

Technical graduates will take on sale and marketing roles initially, before being assigned to different specialisms within the wider business.

The company’s board has also pledged further support to expand and improve its existing UK-focused graduate scheme – which has been running since 2010.

RSK, who recently placed within the top 10 UK environmental consultancies, is looking to hire graduates to join the geosciences programme and placements are due to open up soon for other environmental departments, programmes within the company run for two years.

The company’s development

The firm’s rapid growth has meant they have been able to continue to expand into new markets outside of the UK and Europe, meaning more opportunities for graduates to gain invaluable experience.

The company has utilised a flexible entrepreneurial management structure that has enabled them to expand into places, including the Middle East, where others within the industry may not be able to go. It also allows them to continually adapt and hone graduate programmes to respond to the needs of the business and graduate community.

RSK has a wide portfolio of clients in a number of sectors including rail, transport, water and property. Over the last three years in the nuclear sector they have undertaken preliminary and main/intermediate phase site investigations at Hinckley Point and Wylfa on Anglesey.

The strengthening economy in the UK, combined with the boom in the property industry and major infrastructure projects such as Mersey Gateway and HS2 – a high-speed railway in the United Kingdom linking London, Birmingham, the East Midlands, Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester – are creating widespread growth opportunities.
