Recruiters have been called on to assist candidates whom have been made redundant to make the right employment choice.
Louise White, director at Oyster Retail Recruitment, told Recruiter that advice can be given in terms of CV and interview technique.
Kate McCarthy, managing director at McCarthy Recruitment, added that it is important to talk to candidates about their aspirations and what they want from their career.
She commented: "We spend a long time talking to candidates, redundant or not. It might be through our conversations that the role is not right for them.
"We are offering free redundancy workshops and the sessions are about what you want from your career to make a good career choice."
CV advice consultancy The Write Stuff recently told attendees at the National Graduate Recruitment Exhibition in London that Jobseekers and graduates should ensure their CVs are written with an interview in mind, rather than a job.
