PricewaterhouseCoopers is set to increase the number of graduate jobs it offers across Yorkshire, it has been revealed.
The firm, which has topped the Times' list of best graduate employers for the last five years, is keen to take on new staff.
Phil Gregory, senior partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers' Sheffield office, said: "In Yorkshire, we are actually increasing our graduate numbers and are looking to recruit 55 new graduates in April and September."
Overall, the company will be appointing around 1,000 graduates to jobs across 40 locations in the UK, he added.
Last month, Louise Campbell, managing director for Ireland at Robert Walters, claimed that accounting graduates are increasingly in demand, despite the economic situation.
She stated that people looking for work in the field should be able to command a higher salary for this reason.
Job hunters should also expect to entertain multiple job offers when searching for a suitable position.
