The Sheffield arm of financial firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has announced that seven graduate jobs have now been taken up by former students in the area.
Mostly from the Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam universities, the new recruits will work in the company's assurance and public sector departments, according to the Sheffield Telegraph.
PwC, which recently took first place in the Times Top 100 Graduate Employers for the sixth year in a row, said that it is "delighted" to have the degree-holders on board, adding that they will work towards Association of Chartered Accountants qualifications during their tenure.
He told the newspaper: "PwC believes in fostering and retaining the region's graduates along with supporting the local community, this will help to further strengthen our practice and our local expertise which in turn benefits our clients."
Personnel Today recently reported that PwC was encouraging graduate job hunters looking for positions in the HR sector to look at other industries as they will have a wide array of skills from their degrees.
