PricewaterhouseCoopers to have most graduate vacancies in 2011

Published: Tuesday, 25 January 2011   Category: Banking and Finance

A London-based professional services firm is set to have more graduate vacancies this year than any other company.

PricewaterhouseCoopers will be the largest recruiter of UK university-leavers in 2011, with 1,200 graduate vacancies opening.

The global company is closely followed by professional services rivals Deloitte, who will be employing 1,000 people in graduate roles.

Yet another professional services group, KPMG, will be employing 900 people in graduate roles, while Teach First has 780 graduate vacancies and Ernst and Young will employ 740 university-leavers.

This news is revealed in report published by High Fliers last week, which also found that a third of 2011's entry-level positions are likely to be open exclusively to graduates who have previously completed periods of work with the employers concerned.

The report also revealed that the five universities most-targeted by Britain's top graduate employers in 2010-11 are to be Cambridge, Warwick, Manchester and Oxford.
