Plymouth looks to boost media graduates

Plymouth is considering establishing a "finishing school" for top media graduates, it has been claimed.

In news which might be of interest to those looking for graduate jobs in the sector, the proposals will be considered at a conference set to be held at the city's university, reports the Plymouth Herald.

According to the newspaper, South West Screen is currently carrying out a study looking at the feasibility of the proposal.

The scheme would be part of a larger development aimed at extending "opportunities for growth in the creative media industries in the city", the news provider reports organisers as saying.

According to the paper, the media industry has been identified as key to Plymouth's business success.
