PayPal creates potential jobs for graduates

Published: Tuesday, 26 January 2010   Category: All Graduate job news

PayPal, the eBay owned, electronic payment company is creating 100 jobs in Dublin, it was announced last week.

Graduates looking for a new job may want to consider taking up one of the customer service and operations positions based at the firm's Blanchardstown base.

Open to those fluent in English and a second European language, the jobs come on top of 150 new positions launched last year.

Taoiseach Brian Cowen said: "I am delighted that PayPal continues to go from strength to strength.

"The creation of a further 100 jobs is great news both locally and nationally and it underlines Ireland's continuing ability to attract high-calibre foreign direct investment."

The European Operation Centre at Blanchardstown, which was opened at the beginning of the noughties, has seen staff numbers rise from 25 to more than 1,100.

Record numbers of applications were sent to the recruitment agencies last year for graduate schemes with even more expected this year, meaning any creation of jobs is a boost for university leavers.ADNFCR-1068-ID-19579212-ADNFCR
