Paid work experience for graduate job hunters in Anglesey
Friday, 18 December 2009
Young people in Anglesey are to improve their graduate job prospects thanks to a new enterprise agency scheme in the area.
Menter Mon's Monallu 2010 initiative has invited students to attend an open day at the business next Monday (December 21st) before applying for one of 40 places available to future graduate job hunters.
The ten-week placements will help graduates with an entrepreneurial flair to hone their skills in preparation for starting their own businesses and regular support sessions are designed to discuss progress.
Llinos Williams, a 20-year-old graduate from Bethel, spoke to the North Wales Daily Post about his experience on the scheme.
He said: "Monallu helped open my eyes to a world of possibilities."
The Kingston Guardian recently reported that students at Kingston University recently took part in an extra-curricular scheme to give them experience of running their own businesses in preparation for after they graduate.
