New NFU Mutual premises could create graduate jobs in Glasgow

Published: Thursday, 23 December 2010   Category: Banking and Finance

NFU Mutual will be creating a number of new positions at its Glasgow city centre office.

Thanks to new purpose-built premises, the insurance, pensions and investment specialist will be advertising for 46 new workers - an opportunity that could prove beneficial for those seeking graduate jobs.

Employees will be needed across a number of areas, including customer service, administration and claims.

Donny MacLeod, manager of NFU Mutual Direct, revealed that the new building is in the heart of Glasgow's financial services district.

"We hope that our larger, more modern premises will become a centre of excellence which reflects our strong performance and our commitment to strengthening our presence in Scotland," he added.

Alex Salmond, Scotland's first minister, added that the company's decision to create 46 new posts "highlights their commitment to the city and the local workforce".

Scots seeking graduate trainee jobs may also be relieved to hear that the country's job market appears to be looking up, with the Bank of Scotland's latest survey indicating that both part-time and full-time recruitment improved in November.
