LV= to expand apprenticeship scheme

Published: Tuesday, 07 September 2010   Category: All Graduate job news

LV= has announced plans to expand the apprenticeship scheme it offers to its members of staff, it has been confirmed.

The insurance, retirement and investment group was one of the first financial services companies to offer such a programme when it was launched in 2008.

Although it already has about 150 workers enrolled - all of whom have completed six months at the firm - LV= is intending to boost this figure over the next 12 months.

Spokeswoman Emma Banks explained that the scheme could be ideal for Britons hunting graduate vacancies at a company which will invest in their development.

"The scheme is a great way for people to learn about the business while doing their job," she said.

"They are in the job, in employment, with money coming in, but they are looking to better themselves."

LV= currently employs over 4,000 people, while also serving about 3.8 million customers and members, for whom it manages a combined £9.5 billion.
