London charity announces graduate work experience
Wednesday, 19 August 2009
Graduates with a desire to find an ethical job with a charity may be interested in some work experience positions unveiled by the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
The organisation's outlet in High Wycombe is opening its doors to university leavers by offering to take on anyone interested in gaining a graduate job in the charity sector and providing them with skills required in the industry.
According to This is Local London, some 71 per cent of the BHF's stores in the region are understaffed and graduates will be helping to raise money for important causes as well as helping to further their own career.
Gareth Julian, area manager for the charity, told the newspaper: "It is no secret that the number of graduates applying for every new job has dramatically increased. In a competitive job market, volunteering can offer young people more than just something to do with their free time."
Those looking for a graduate job in the north Lincolnshire area may want to apply for one of a group of new positions being opened up at the AbitibiBowater Recycling Europe waste collection firm.
