Graduate job hunters are set to benefit from an increased number of employment opportunities by the end of 2010, the results of a new survey have determined.
CV Trumpet interviewed 1,226 people currently in search of a job and found that 36 per cent of respondents felt that it would be easier for them to find work this year than was the case in 2009.
Meanwhile, only five per cent of those surveyed felt that it would take until at least 2013 for the job market to bounce back to previous levels following the recession.
Robert Odhams from the CV guidance firm said: "Job seekers are drawing conclusions based on knowledge of their sector and feedback from employers as they apply for work.
"However, it would be nice to think that optimism in the job market will be mirrored by a positive outlook for the economy as a whole."
The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development recently stated that 2.8 million people may be unemployed in Britain in 2010.
