The number of students graduating from university with IT qualifications is showing signs of growth, it has been claimed.
According to a director of IT specialist firm Alexander Chapel Associates, many highly computer literate students are realising that their best way in top firms is through IT.
Commenting on the reasons for the rise in IT graduates, Mark Doherty, writing on easyarticles.com, said: "There are a number of reasons for this increase most notably that graduates are beginning to see that their best career path may be through IT departments throughout the UK.
"Another reason is that students grow up around computers and develop an intimate knowledge of computing technology that lends itself easily to a career in IT work."
He added: "Finally, IT graduates are benefiting greatly from improved university programs and a higher level of recruitment by IT firms throughout the UK."
