Isle of Man set to host inaugural Graduate Day

Published: Tuesday, 14 June 2011   Category: Career Advice

The Isle of Man is set to host its first ever Graduate Day this month in a bid to get more university leavers in local graduate jobs.

Local employment training firm Hamblin will be running the event at the International Business School on 17th June, with visitors offered a range of advice on how to embark on a career on the island.

There will be interactive seminars, discussions and professional advice offered by on-site consultants throughout the day.

Furthermore, graduates will be able to hone their CV writing and interview technique skills, as well as having a chance to discuss their future career options.

Charlotte Beeman, marketing executive at accountancy firm Moore Stephens Isle of Man, said: "With many university leavers already in our team we're all too aware of the challenges young people face after graduation.

"We believe a firm's success stems from its people and we're always keen to meet high calibre graduates who could join our team."
