A new site has been launched by the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) which aims to help those looking for graduate marketing jobs get into the industry.
The sector employed 786 graduates last year, according to research by the organisation conducted in September, and although recruitment will be slightly down, a straw poll indicates the industry aims to employ almost as many this year.
Facilities on the website include a list of IPA members, graduate job case studies, tips on applications and preparing CVs.
Lettie Hannon, associate director of resources for the IPA, said: "It is
imperative that we have a resource that can answer all advertising-related questions that potential industry recruits may have, and make them aware of all agency employment opportunities out there, which we believe our new careers site will achieve."
Recently, marketing firms in Birmingham developed a graduate scheme aimed at helping students find work in the city and to display their work to high profile advertising firms.
