Recent university leavers looking for graduate jobs in business management may be interested to hear that Enterprise Rent-A-Car has become the latest employer to reconsider the way it assesses potential graduate recruits.
The car hire firm is now going to take ex-students on their values outside of the classroom, including business acumen and general attitude, rather than their previous reliance on grades and university scores.
It employs around 750 graduates a year in the UK so this could come as something as a boost to those graduate job hunters looking for degree-level employment, Personnel Today reported.
Donna Miller, European HR director of the company, told the website: "It's just a more equitable way of doing things and it gives everyone an equal playing field. I think we can get a better candidate more suited to our company.
"We can recruit a really high percentage of very diverse candidates and that's because we are not bothered by the degree qualification and we recruit from university."
