Life after graduation
Graduates and jobseekers hoping to get their foot on the first rung of the career leader prefer to work for large corporations, new research has shown.
According to the study, compiled by Robson Taylor, 31 per cent of job candidates are keen to working for big enterprises, onrec.com reports.
This is compared with one in ten who claimed they would like to work for medium sized companies and 14 per cent who were willing to commit their future to small company or a start-up.
Surprisingly, 45 per cent of respondents had no real preference on the size of the company they wanted to seek employment with.
Commenting on the findings Kevin Buller at Robson Taylor told the website: "We were surprised to find that so many candidates were open on size as we expected that most candidates would have a more definite idea about where they wanted to work, based on past experiences."
He added: "However, many of these candidates that were open on size were quite specific about the technology and services that they wanted to work with."
