Graduates necessary for 'future of UK economy'

Life after graduation
An industry expert has claimed that the economy in the UK will rely on an increased number of graduate job positions opening up for degree-holders.
Johnny Rich, editor of Push.co.uk, said that in order for the country to remain important in terms of the global economy then "as many graduates as possible" must find work.
He added: "If we are to remain a leading world economy we will need a higher educated workforce. In order to have that we will ... need a greater proportion of people going into higher education from schools."
The better educated the young workforce are, the more chance they will have at getting a graduate job, which will always create a positive environment for the economy, Mr Rich said.
This year's university leavers should not be put down by the lack of available jobs, as there are still some out there, the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services recently claimed.
