All Graduate job news
Recent university leavers looking for the latest graduate jobs and courses may be interested to hear the view of one careers expert who claims that, despite the economic downturn, a healthy number of graduate employers are still recruiting.
Anne-Marie Martin, director of the Careers Group at London University, said that 2009 graduates may have it worse than previous classes but that there is still plenty to be hopeful, as long as graduates show some flexibility, the Independent reports.
She told the paper: "It's true to say that numbers are certainly lower than they were two years ago, but they are certainly more than they were last year.
"You might have to work in Uxbridge rather than London, for example, unless you're in the top one per cent, but if you're a normal graduate you might have to think more broadly about what you can do."
Ms Martin added that all sectors are still recruiting and that reports of 'No Vacancies' signs up across the country are wide of the mark.
