Graduates handed job boost by ASDA news

Those looking for graduate jobs in retail may be interested to hear that Asda, the supermarket giant, is to create 6,000 new jobs in 2010 as part of a recruitment drive for ten new store openings and ten store extensions.
The firm has confirmed that the 6,000 new positions will build on the existing 20,000 full and part time jobs that have been created in the last three years and will be on the shop floor and in management.
Chet Kuchinad, people director at Asda, said: "On top of this we are continuing to recruit on a large scale in 2010, with thousands of new opportunities to join Asda this year.
"With one of the lowest turnover rates in British retail, we have an incredibly motivated and experienced workforce and are looking forward to expanding this in 2010."
Asda, employs over 140,000 staff and its parent company is the massive retail firm Wal-Mart.
