Recent university leavers looking for graduate jobs in sales and recruitment may be interested to hear the results of a new jobs report which highlights marked increases in staff appointments during April.
The Report on Jobs, published today (May 5th) by the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) and KPMG, showed that staff placements continued to rise strongly in April, even though it was slower than March's peaks.
Kevin Green, the REC's chief executive, said: "The Report on Jobs highlights continued growth in both temporary and permanent employment, although the rate of growth has slowed slightly compared to previous months.
"The first test of the new administration will be to nurture the slowly improving but fragile jobs market. Innovative resourcing strategies will be crucial in both the private and public sector."
This news comes soon after the National Institute of Economic and Social Research suggested that unemployment will continue to be considerable even though the country is officially coming out of recession.
