Graduate training schemes imperative for employers
Thursday, 16 July 2009
Employers of graduates should look towards training schemes to add fresh talent to their teams as well as improve the productivity of existing staff, according to one expert.
Simon Brown joined accountants Tait Walker on a Business Link graduate training scheme and is now an associate in the firm.
Mr Brown highly recommends the initiatives, telling nebusiness.com that the training provider for firms in the north-east offers different options to allow for what best works with various employers.
He told the news provider: "This has helped us to form a highly specialised team which over the years, and crucially in the current tough economic conditions, has had a profoundly positive effect on our business."
Team potential can also be realised through the training, according to the employer.
Three-year graduate training courses are to be provided to alumni of Bristol University after the higher education establishment was one of several recipients of Higher Education Funding Council for England subsidies.
