Graduate opportunities may be created in 2011, due to BCC declariation

Those looking for graduate opportunities should be pleased by the latest message from the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), calling it a Year for Growth.

One of the main points that the director-general of the BCC, David Frost, made in his New Year's message was that companies should find it easier to recruit this year, which he said could be achieved by cutting regulation.

Mr Frost said that the country must ensure that it is easier for all companies - "whether start-ups, medium-sized family businesses or multinational firms" - to hire in the United Kingdom.

This could lead to more graduate jobs or graduate schemes across the board.

He added: "Making 2011 a Year for Growth will deliver real results in every city and town across the UK - with stronger companies, more new businesses and more employment."

The prime minister, David Cameron, also used his New Year's Eve message to issue calls for growth: he said that jobs should be created by businesses in 2011.
