Students in Cornwall who have recently completed their degrees should be able showcase their talents in graduate jobs across the county.

Last weekend, more than 700 individuals graduated from over 100 university courses in subjects such as business, horticulture and zoological conservation at Cornwall College.

In an interview with This is the West Country, college principal Dave Linnell explained that the graduates will have plenty to offer prospective employers.

"We are committed to providing students with the very best higher education here in Cornwall," he told the news provider.

"Opportunities are there for our graduates to take a lead in the exciting future that lies ahead for our county. We have the belief that you can do this."

Meanwhile, Richard Nott, website director at CWJobs.co.uk, recently encouraged graduates to focus their job search on the IT sector.

He explained that the industry is currently suffering from a skills shortage, with a lack of individuals with the required knowledge and abilities emerging from universities.
