Graduate jobs offered in Gloucestershire

Published: Friday, 10 December 2010   Category: All Graduate job news

A group of 25 graduate job hunters have found work in the engineering sector thanks to new positions which have been filled at Renishaw, based in Gloucestershire.

According to the BBC, up to 125 young people have benefitted from apprenticeships and graduate roles at the company, which is turning around job losses put into effect in 2009.

The firm specialises in industrial measuring equipment and claimed that it has strongly recovered from the recession, allowing it to open its doors to more university leavers.

Peter Bowler, human resources manager at Renishaw, told the news provider: "With a shortage of engineering talent, we have to take control of our own future and develop high quality individuals to meet our future growth targets."

Leading global exporter Raytheon Company recently announced that it is offering engineering-based graduate opportunities in its UK finance division, requiring a 2:1 degree in a computer science, physics or maths-related subject.
