Interviews
Those looking for graduate jobs could soon find themselves being interviewed via computer, it has been claimed.
Talent on View has developed web-based software which allows employers to offer branded video interviews, reports Recruiter.co.uk.
Speaking to the news provider, Lisa Scales, co-director of the firm, explained that part of the motivation behind the development was the number of good candidates who are rejected as their printed CV does not do them justice.
She said: "It was frustrating seeing clients make decisions on a page of black and white type before even seeing the person."
As well as interviews, the system can also be used to allow candidates to submit video CVs, she added.
Last month, a study by Select Appointments found that 54 per cent of employers are put off by poor spelling on a CV.
Poor layout (17 per cent) and excessive length (16 per cent) were other major gripes.
