The graduate jobs market is improving all the time but this year's university leavers should not be complacent, it was suggested today (June 9th).
Dan Hawes, co-founder of the Graduate Recruitment Bureau, revealed that his organisation has received heightened interest from employers in recent times.
However, he urged the class of 2010 to remember that dedication and numerous applications may be needed in order to secure a full-time role.
He said: "The market is picking up for graduates. We [have seen] in the last three or four months that there are more companies using us to find graduates.
"We anticipate the job market to be slightly better than last year but it is still very competitive, so it is very important that graduates use as many avenues as possible to try to find a job."
Mr Hawes' comments come after Lisette Howlett, managing director and founder of online recruitment community HireScore.com, urged students to establish early links with potential employers.
