Those looking for graduate jobs in advertising do not have to move to London to realise their dreams, according to one expert.
Speaking to the Newcastle Journal, Howard Tait, managing director of advertising agency Martin Tait Readheads (MTR), explained that although he had to leave the north-east to get his first job in the industry after leaving university, times have changed.
He said: "Technology was changing and you could do stuff from almost anywhere, so I came back."
Mr Tait's firm has provided contacts for Sainsbury's, Thomas Cook, Fuji Cameras and Neilson in the past decade, with over 75 per cent of the companies work coming from outside the region, he added.
In related news, Fairivestment.co.uk last week urged those looking for graduate jobs to make sure that they have the best possible bank account.
According to the firm, former students should opt for the highest interest-free overdraft limit they can find to help them manage their finances.
