Students who have submitted applications to begin a graduate job at Tesco late last year are set to begin their employment soon.
Recruiter reports that the supermarket chain is to boost the number of graduates it takes on in September, with early suggestions being that a minimum of a ten per cent increase will be seen on 2009 numbers.
The closing date for students wanting to be among the September intake closed in December, but the news provider reports that opportunities still exist for other graduates.
It is noted that the recruitment cycle is continuous for a number of Tesco's commercial divisions, with students graduating this month still able to compete for the places that are yet to be filled.
Meanwhile, those awaiting entry into the September schemes will be able to take advantage of new opportunities, including one with Tesco telecoms and environmental engineering.
Among the other graduate schemes, positions vary from in store management to property and merchandising.
Earlier this year, Tesco pledged to create 9,000 new jobs in the UK, while also mentioning plans to add another 7,000 at various locations around the world.
