Those looking for fast paced graduate jobs in the engineering sector may be interested to know that a Yorkshire motorsports company have received the financial backing to be on the Formula One grid next season.
Manor Motorsport, the Sheffield-based firm which helped Lewis Hamilton begin his career in racing, will create 50 jobs locally, which could be taken up by engineering graduates, according to the Yorkshire Post.
The company will remain in Formula One for at least four years, joining Ferrari, BMW and Brawn GP among others.
John Booth, team principal and a former motor racing champion, said: "It's got to be a plus for the regional economy. We are planning to create 50 or so jobs for people in South Yorkshire and we will, of course, be working with local suppliers."
Attendees of the recent Sustainable Innovation in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning networking meeting were told that gaining work experience in the industry is vital for improving graduate job prospects, according to Construction News.
