First Derivatives welcomes 50 new starters on graduate placements

Fifty young Britons looking for graduate opportunities are celebrating this week after landing jobs with a software firm in Northern Ireland.

First Derivatives announced on Tuesday (August 10th) that the lucky members of the first intake of its 'Options' recruitment programme have now begun their new roles.

They were welcomed on their first day by chief executive Brian Conlon, chief operating officer Adrian Toner and local MP and executive minster Conor Murphy.

In an interview with the Belfast News Letter, Mr Murphy was particularly full of praise for the Newry-based company's commitment to unearthing new talent.

"During a time of unprecedented economic challenges, the fact that a local firm of international repute continues to put its faith in graduate hires is to be commended," he told the news provider.

"I congratulate everyone joining today and hope your career takes off as First Derivatives grow from strength to strength."

The news comes after Citywire revealed last month that Chorley financial services firm 1st Chartered is launching a new graduate recruitment scheme.
