FDM Group to expand offices for London graduate scheme intake

Published: Tuesday, 23 November 2010   Category: Science, Engineering and IT

A major IT solutions firm is planning to expand its offices in London Bridge as it prepares to double the number of graduate schemes it fills in 2011.

FDM Group, which recently won the best technical graduate recruiter gong at the National Graduate Recruitment Awards, intends to take on 1,000 graduates next year.

As a result, it is attempting to lease the first and second floors at 55 King William Street in order to accommodate the additional members of its team.

Chief operating officer Sheila Flavell explained that the move was necessary to ensure that the new starters have the best possible chance of succeeding at the firm.

"We are passionate about training graduates to kick-start their careers within IT and finance and this initiative will take it to the next level," she said.

Meanwhile, the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services suggested recently that young Britons are increasingly being influenced by money when they come to apply for graduate jobs.
