FDM Group to create graduate opportunities in Germany

Published: Wednesday, 08 December 2010   Category: Science, Engineering and IT

Britons looking for graduate jobs overseas have been alerted to the activities of a major IT services provider in Germany.

FDM Group has expanded its office in the central financial district of Frankfurt in order to facilitate the planned launch of its graduate academy in the country next year.

The company, which is the largest UK-based graduate employer in the IT sector, is expecting to train and place a number of new university leavers in the city in the near future.

Dave Russell, FDM Group's German account manager, said: "The new Frankfurt office has definitely given us all a massive motivational boost.

"We will be looking to follow in the footsteps of the New York office by rapidly expanding internal headcount in different areas to help develop our own academy training infrastructure."

The firm has already launched the careers of over 2,500 individuals and recently revealed that it intends to double its graduate intake to 1,000 in 2011.

Meanwhile, a study published this week by IntaPeople claimed that there were 80 per cent more graduate vacancies available in the first 11 months of 2010 than in the same period last year.
