Entrepreneurs 'don't celebrate Christmas'

News Article Published: Friday, 14 December 2007   Category: Reports

Graduates who want to become entrepreneurs should not make any plans for Christmas in the future, as a report has revealed that one in ten business owners are planning to work on Christmas Day.

The research, by UK Business Forums, shows that 33 per cent do enjoy the Christmas festivities but check their company emails and complete business tasks on the day.

Dan Martin, administrator of UK Business Forums, said: "These figures demonstrate how dedicated the UK's millions of entrepreneurs are to growing a successful business. Even on December 25th when most of us will be sitting down with our friends and family to turkey and Christmas pudding, many small business owners will be working on building their company into the big firms of the future."

Only 30 per cent of entrepreneurs who were surveyed said that they would not be working at all between Christmas Day and the New Year.

UK Business Forums has been established since 2003 and offers support and advice to businesses.
