Those looking for a graduate marketing job when they leave university this summer may be pleased to know that several companies are not planning on reducing recruitment.
Unilever, which has its own Marketing Academy, said it has no plans to decrease graduate intake and will be going ahead as usual, despite pessimistic reports indicating that others are cutting back.
According to Marketing magazine, Mary Calvert, the human resources director of consumer goods firm Reckitt Benckiser, has also said her firm is holding steady on its provision of graduate jobs.
She told the news provider: "To us, graduates are investments for future success. We are keen to recruit the best graduates and this year is no exception - graduate recruitment will be very similar to previous years."
The Institute of Practitioners in Advertising recently launched a micro-site which aims to help those looking for graduate jobs in marketing with the various aspects of seeking work.
