DWF witnesses strong take-up for graduate vacancies

Published: Tuesday, 02 November 2010   Category: Law

A rapidly expanding law firm has revealed that nearly all of the latest trainees at its Liverpool office have accepted graduate jobs.

DWF has one of the highest retention rates in the legal sector after taking on 16 of the 18 graduates it recruited on training contracts two years ago, the Liverpool Daily Post reports.

Managing partner Andrew Leaitherland announced that the company is now looking at plans to bring even more new talent into one of the most competitive graduate industries in the UK.

"These are clearly impressive figures that show we continue to attract and retain the best talent in the sector," he told the news provider.

"Both our offer and retention rates are exceptional and among the highest in the industry. We wish them well and are confident that they will flourish in their new careers."

The publication also noted that DWF was described as a "north-west regional heavyweight" in the latest Legal 500 recommendations last month.

Meanwhile, Legal Week revealed recently that US firm Sullivan and Cromwell is planning to establish its first ever graduate scheme in London in autumn 2013.
